MSU’s Google Apps for Education now live!

MSU’s Google Apps for Education implementation is officially live, and can be accessed at http://googleapps.msu.edu. Now, Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Sites can be created using your MSU account. Note that Gmail is not a part of this Google Apps package. For a list of support resources available, read below.

ANGEL is up and running

The ANGEL administrators replaced the old database server with a new one, which has twice the capacity for load and use. This should improve ANGEL’s performance and reliability. The administrators continue to monitor the system. If you encounter issues, please notify Distance Learning Services at 5-2345 or 1-800-500-1554, so the problem can be diagnosed ASAP.

Additional database tuning was performed at both the application and database layer, in an attempt to stabilize the system.
